Project

Have you ever thought about the teens in distress or children at risk who don't celebrate Purim with their parents or close family members? The kids for whom Purim isn't really a happy holiday? ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ Stay with us for another moment and you'll understand how even small change can be life-changing for these kids. ๐Ÿ˜€

Project goal
To provide cash gifts of 200 shekels to 125 young people in difficult financial and family circumstances, including at-risk children and teens in distress. Some of these kids are growing up in residential facilities and other out-of-home frameworks due to a variety of tragic circumstances.

Background
These are boys and girls from troubled homes, unfortunate children who, in some cases, are not growing up with their parents or natural families. Those who do live with their biological parents get nothing from them, not even the basics of life. These youngsters have to take care of themselves and obtain everything they need on their own – food, clothing, recreation, and everything else that kids their age require. Some of them take every kind of job imaginable in order to support their parents and the other children at home!

The idea
It's true that the two hundred shekels we want to give each teen or child won't change the economic status of their families. But think how much good it will do them just to receive cash gifts for the holiday without having to be torn between their jobs and their difficult family lives.

We can do this. If each of us "adopts" at least one child, one boy or girl, with a donation of 200 shekels or more, we can make this Purim the kids' best holiday ever!

The initiative will be carried out under accountant supervision by Chasdei Naomi. Donors will be sent receipts recognized for tax purposes in accordance with Section 46 of the Israel Income Tax Ordinance.
