Project
Moshe Harer, our dear father and grandfather suffer from kidney failure and lives with one kidney. Now his only kidney is showing signs of dysfunction - and that's where our work begins, and your mission.
Beloved father Moshe has a loving wife, a father of 4 children, a grandfather of 17 grandchildren, and a great grandfather of one great-grandchild, and even one more on the way.
Unfortunately, on a regular basis day, about two years ago, Father Moshe's only kidney began to show signs of distress and we realized that his health was getting worse.
Like every loving and caring family, we’ve overturned worlds to try and do the best as a family to save the beloved man in our world.
Father Moshe underwent a few months ago dialysis preparation, and since then Father's joy has been extinguished.
The same cheerful, happy, energetic man who felt like a young man , began to wilt before our eyes, and such pain is not something a family can bear.
When the moment came to deal with the painful reality and look it in the eyes, we looked at what options and what can be done to save the situation.
At this moment we realized that Dad had to have a kidney transplant.
We didn't really understand the price that such a process was supposed to cost us ...
We were told that in Israel it would be hard to reach the impossible to find a suitable donor for his age, and we received the news that in order to be able to raise funds for him alone, without all the surrounding bureaucracies, we would have to raise over NIS 700,000!
As soon as we realized that it depended on the life of our beloved Dad, we swallowed the bitter truth , rolled up our sleeves and fought for Dad's life.
The total amount we will need to raise for flights, donation, additional medical processes, advertising and all that is implied in saving him, reaches NIS 850,000!
Nearly a million shekels.
Our only hope, no doubt, is your help.
To this day my dear and optimistic father lives with one kidney in peace, with a smile, with an endless faith in goodness.
Dad always gave all his family and friends everything he had, always put himself in last place and always the other before him.
Dad Moshe is undoubtedly a very-loved man among people , a friend full of humor and joy.
Until the moment of truth - knowing that his only kidney condition had deteriorated a lot.
Every month Dad Moshe comes to the hospital to see what his only kidney condition is.
Unfortunately, things do not get any better, and our concern is accelerating. All we want is to see Dad smiling again and having no need for a life full of fear of the evil that might happen.
A kidney donation abroad is what will help us save Father Moshe.
That’s where you come into the picture, dear people.
We do not give up, we will do everything in any way, to save the significant man in our lives.
Our father is the rockstar of the family, he is our laughter, smile and anchor, and we fight for him through fire and water.
It's time to give back to the man who gave his whole life
Father Moshe worked for 35 years faithfully and devotedly to the police. He is currently a pensioner who volunteers as a gabbai and cantor in a synagogue.
Of course, Dad doesn't want any remuneration, he just loves with all his heart to help and do good to others.
The hardest moment that can happen to us is to see Dad despair.
No matter how purposeful we are, no heart can withstand such a hard look.
The difficulty we see in front of our eyes is unimaginable - the convergence within itself, the silence that does not characterize it, the endless worry.
Understanding that we have an astronomical sum to raise doesn't give him much hope.
We cannot allow our father to live with dialysis for the rest of his life, and to see him live a life that is not alive.
We will give Dad the hope and smile back.
We want to thank in advance those angels who have dedicated their time to us, who have opened their hearts and pockets to do the most amazing act possible for a family.
You are the ones who give us and Father Moshe the hope, thanks to you Father Moshe will be able to see his grandson, be able to come back to life and smile.
May we all be “Zoiche” to live a healthy life
